Juggernaut, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but finding an MGM M6 will be pretty tough. Since there were only 78 MGM GXPs built total, any MGM GXP won't be easy. My projections indicate that there were only about 12 MGM M6 Onyx No Sunroof cars built, and only about 33 MGM M6 Onyx Sunroof cars built total. Don't give up searching, but you may have to "settle" like I did. I refused to compromise on the manual transmission, and I preferred no sunroof, so that narrowed my search tremendously even when GXPs were still selling new. Good luck, and I'm glad the information is helpful!

I think you're right about compromising. Still trying to find any 6M (is it weird that I don't say M6 since that makes me think of BMWs?) that's GM Certified.

For anyone that doesn't go onto the other board.
I have located 1829 GXP's with the help of Joe and a few on the other board.
I sent Bracketracer all the options for them and he is going to be compiling the statistics very soon.

Sorry, tracking down 1,829 GXPs has been hard enough. There are over 10 times as many GTs built over the two years, so NO THANK YOU! If someone takes that task on, then you GT owners better being really grateful!

Thanx Joe for making my SRM A6 less valuable by finding two more than GM thinks they built! :-)
Seriously though, THANX for all the ffort you have put into this. Those of us with these special cars appreciate it.

It's hard to believe that I started tracking all of this nearly two years ago! The current information is based on 1,824 GXPs verified, which is 99.73% of overall production of 1,829. First I need to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Greg from PacePerformance. I couldn't have gotten this far without his help! THANK YOU! The list It includes 9 GXPs converted to GXP Firehawks by SLP (we originally thought there were 10 but the GXP Firehawk pilot car started life as a GT based on it's VIN). I am pleased that final numbers come pretty close to my early projections. I am also happy that we can now prove that there were more automatic GXPs built than manuals, as I and a number of others strongly suspected. Car & Driver stated that only about 800 manual transmission GXPs were produced, which means about 44%, and they were pretty darn close (I show 841 at this point for 46.11%). I should be able to get the final 5 cars verified and updated soon, but I didn't want to keep folks waiting. So here is the nearly complete current data:

    Sunroof equipped 1,464 (80.26%)
    No Sunroof 360 (19.74%)

    Onyx Interior 1,252 (68.64%)
    Onyx/Red Interior 572 (31.36%)

    Automatic 983 (53.89%)
    Manual 841 (46.11%)

The color breakdown is as follows:

PBM 469 (99.58% of the total 471 built)
LR 374 (99.20% of the total 377 built)
MSM 333 (99.71% of the total 334 built)
WH 298 (99.67% of the total 299 built)
SRM 171 (101.18% of the total 169 built*) *This requires some explanation. Early reliable reports stated
MGM 78 (100% of the total 78 built) 169 SRM GXPs, but we have 171 confirmed VINs.
SBM 56 (100% of the total 56 built)
PSM 45 (100% of the total 45 built)

Sorry ;-) ! You are very welcome. As I mentioned, Greg deserves a HUGE THANKS as well. At the rate I was gathering info this could have taken a number of years, and I likely would have missed some cars.

I do not have a GXP but I really admire the effort that went into collecting this info. Awesome data. At least if I'm ever looking at upgrading to or investing in a GXP some day, I'll know the numbers.
    Thank you Joe and Greg!
