Default 1/4 mile Virginia Drag Strips

Anyone know of a decent drag strip near Fredericksburg, VA?

I did a quick Google and found Sumerduck Dragway, but appears to be only a 1/8 mile. I'd prefer a 1/4 mile. I also saw Richmond Dragway in Ashland, VA, which looks to have a 1/4 mile.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. I am visiting my family Easter weekend and I want to bully my older brother into racing his Challenger against me.

Richmond dragway is in Sandston near the airport and Dinwiddie has Virginia Motorsports Park. Both 1/4 mile tracks. VMP is a nicer facility but more crowded, more expensive, and further away for you to drive.

Looks like the Richmond drag strip is roughly an hour away...next closest is MIR which is an hour and a half...at least based on Google's timing. Capitol is hair further than MIR.

That or I run the 1/8 mile at Sumerduck which is only half the fun

when ive gone to MIR, the track prep has been the best of any tracks ive been too (gainesville, orlando, tampa, richmond, and rockingham), it really is top notch... it might be a lot less busy than richmond too...

Good to know. That is a sick 1/4 time if all you have is an intake and tune?!? What track did you pull those numbers?

It's my first time at the track with this puppy and I'd be content with somewhere in the low 13's with my OTR and tune.

Atlas is right about MIR. The track prep is very good. Much better than Richmond.
