    Default First Start Up Procedure?

Hey, all. The time has come to try and start up my rebuilt 2008 G8 GT. I was wondering if anyone has experience with doing so. Is there a recommended break-in oil? Also, what are the certain re-learn procedures I have to go through? I know there is a crank position re-learn and transmission re-learn procedure. Are there any others? Anything else I should know? Thank you.

"Driven" has a GREAT break in oil. Not cheap, but GOOD! https://www.summitracing.com/search/...k-in-motor-oil

Before starting it, hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor and crank. It won't start, but will pump oil through the engine.

Break in like any other engine. It doesn't have a solid lifter cam so no need for 1500RPM's for 15 minutes to break the cam in.

You can prime the oil in the block if it was a completely dry engine. If it's used no need.
    Google ls oil pump prime.

When I did the cam in mine it wouldn't prime on its own. So I rigged up a bottle full if oil and pumped it in via air pressure.

But other then that let it do the system check when you. Turn the key on and look at the codes. It shouldn't fire if there is a major problem.
