    Default P0449 evaporation junk

    the last couple days I've been getting the P0449 code. Cant clear it all the time but sometimes i can. so what is the correct ac delco part number for this? is it 214-2164?

    I have read other posts here and other places about either reaching thru the rear wheel well or lowering the cradle. I don't see myself lowering the cradle in my garage so how bad is it reaching thru the wheel well changing it out? would it be better in using the fuel pump template and cutting it out under the seat and accessing it that way? My Grand prix use to have an access hole in the trunk to remove the fuel pump.

    or i can pay $400 and have a good tune put on the car and tune out the evaporation crap.

    cutting fuel pump access will not work. You can got through the wheel well but it a pain in the ass.
