    Default Hurricane Harvey! Community rallies!

    I'm so proud of the Texas Spirit! Harvey hit us with 130mph winds and near 50" of rain. We are still standing! No way that SOB was coming into our house to push us around! No way!

    In a time of tragedy, heartbreak and difficulty - you will indeed find the "REAL" character of a community! I think the world is seeing the "grit and resilience" of determined Texans!

    Neighbors helping neighbors. Strangers helping strangers. Truck after truck would pass by - roll down their window and yell out - "you all alright?" "Got food and water?"

    I'm so darn proud to call myself a Texan!

    Absolutely nothing against others - but I'm just oozing with TEXAS PRIDE at the moment - given the catastrophe we are going through and the way we have responded!

    No way Harvey was going to win this one! No damn way! He gave us his very best shots. We're still here and we WILL get back to normal!

    Now that I think of it - Harvey didn't stand a "E-ffing" chance!

    Great to hear. Seems like the worst situations bring out the best in people! People that could be screaming at each other one day are pulling together to help each other the next.

    There was a small subdued black and white sign in each vehicle. It simply said ".50 Cal here". I could be wrong .....but I "think" that means "you best not _____ with the US Marines!!!!"

    Glad to hear our G8 family is all safe. With as many guns as there are in Texas homes that were evacuated, subdivisions will be gold mines for evil doers.

    I'm a gun owner myself and I hate the thought of criminals stealing legal firearms for illicit use.
