Help now please ASAP, G8 stopped pulling ?

Last Tuesday I left for work I drove not just down the street from home when all of a sudden my car (G8) stopped pulling, it was on & running as normally still . The shop says he needs to take the transmission out & check the pump. What do you all think & yes, the transmission file has been checked, not an issue.

Doesn't pull means what? can you shift into any gear, even reverse, and move the car? the shift linkage can sometimes break so the stick will move but doesn't change the trans.

What you are experiencing is an always neutral condition. It seems to be a common problem with the 6L80 transmission. What it could be Caused by is one of the valve check balls that has gotten to small and gets lodged in one of the valve body passages. Here is a video on the fix.

Does not require the trans to come out. just the valve body to be removed and overhauled. Still not cheap but not a complete rebuild.
