It also helps on higher compression motors.

I gotta agree with Ray on this. You're making more power than when my car went 11.30 @ 119. I'd fine tune the "tune" but some gears would really help

im guessing the combination of my 3-4 shift hang up and my power being all up top is working against me. Since i'm likely not building up enough acceleration in the majority of the run... it looks like my car is just good for dyno runs

Anything faster than 12.7 for my stock gears required shifting into 4th and I was spinning mine to around 6500 rpm. If he's running 11.8s, he will need 4th gear fo' sho'...

So what have you done/noticed with this 3-4 hangup? I know exactly what you're talking about, the best way I have eliminated this is by letting the car see a 1-2-3-4 shift before you make a pass, that means you cant turn your car off in the staging lanes or you'll need to shift through on your burnout which my car is not capable currently. My track has plenty of room to run through the gears, I think I hit 30-35 or so then get in line to run. No issues since I started doing this, otherwise I accepted my first pass would suck and planned to hotlap.

Same here I leave my car on and make sure it sees all gears before doing a full pull. If i start up and I make a pull the car will hang up on the 3-4 shift.
