    Default My 09's progress

    I bought this in October with 30k miles. Only thing done was coated LT's with pypes axle backs, intake and a cortex. I got started right away.


    Bought clear corner lens,debadged the back, tinted the Windows, threw some H&r springs in it.

    Then picked up a set of camaro wheels and had them stripped of the paint and polished the hell out of them.


    And finally got them all mounted up!

    Rolled the fenders and went with a 285 30 and 245 35 in nitto invos. No rubbing to report. I am in love with it!


    Very happy with the progress!

    Great find! Love the color!

    Looks like some suspension work was done? (I initially missed mention of the H&R springs)

    I hear that Cortex doesn't do justice for the headers.

    Yea. I am going to begin piecing together a DOD kit and cam and will have it tuned correct then. That will happen sooner than later too.

    Going to knock out some little stuff like led headlights, gxp splitter and some odds and ends next.

    I was one of the original camaro SS wheel guys. Purchased my set from SLP back in 2009 few months after purchasing my G8 ..few of us started a trend ..now other G8 owners tease me about mine because a lot of G8s have them ..But honestly I always loved the look of them. Especially at the perfect ride height

    Nice job thus far, after having to polish one wheel due to some scratches in, I take my hat off to someone who did a whole set by hand. Never again, will just pay someone next time and save myself the carpal tunnel. lol

    Looks great bud. I am about to take mine off the road for a while. Looking to do some inexpensive, but impactful upgrades to it. Any ideas where I should start????
