I rarely look at the switches, wouldn't be an issue at all for me but I can see how some might not like it.

The plastic switch that you move with your finger only moves a very small part inside, it you might just have some goo on the plastic outside parts.
I'll get some pics posted for you tonight I hope.
I thought about that also, seeing how it started feeling stiff/gummed up. Just this morning though it was stuck and I had to pull pretty hard to put the window up. Granted, if I can get the thing out and pop it open it's worth a shot.

I'll have a red light bottom and caprice top for sale soon.
I dunno when I'm switching the radio. But if you want it now I can run the white lights for the time being
Just pm me it will be cheap.

Probably spilled something on it to gum it up.

I should have an extra switch if you are interested.

Well I'll be damned... just tried it on a whim and it doesn't feel like it did the other morning. I wonder if a crumb or something got in there and worked it's way out? Maybe it was just the cold?

Here are some pictures for you anyway
    photo 7.JPG
First begin by unlatching the clips for the top cover.

    photo 6.JPG
Work your way all the way around

    photo 5.JPG
Once that is done the cover will come off

    photo 4.JPG
Then pry under the window lockout button to pop it off

    photo 3.JPG
Remove the 2 screws on the bottom

    photo 2.JPG
Then again work your way all the way around releasing the clips

    photo 1.JPG
You will be left with two pieces.
The G8 board will be red (with red leds) the Holden and maybe the PPV board will be black (with white leds)

    Thanks Chris
I tried to do the same for the headlight switch and run into a snag with it.

With the headlight switch the knob must be pulled off, but inside there is a locking tab on the shaft that holds it on. It seems that once the knob is pushed on with the unit all together there is no way to access the tab to get it apart safely. I was 99% there

I ended up using pliers on my stock one (I'm using a Jade Black holden version) and it broke the locking tab. Once that was off it all came apart very easily. If we didn't have to pull the knob to activate the fog lights then it wouldn't be a problem or if you just applied a little glue once putting it back together.

The ppv one I have don't pull out. But I want the white lights on it.
I guess I'll have fog on with low beams or just add a switch.
The ppv one don't pull out.
They don't make a black pull out light switch with white lights do they?

Holden would be the only place to get a black switch with white LEDs

Okay, how about I take pictures of how to pry off the panel and swap the switches out then? When I get the switch from Greg that is.
