With regard to the problem mentioned by cvidt regarding “dreaded clunk” I would like to assure him that the dealer will be replacing them without any hassle. I am saying this because I had exactly the same issue two months ago. I told my dealer about it and he was kind enough to replace it.

FYI: A slight rattle could be a loose caliper bracket. I had my drivers side replaced due to a faint rattle over small bumps.

Since they don't exist at the front, they should last forever.

I just had mine done and I was told they replaced "all four lower control arms" and the paperwork showed that the parts were all for the front suspension.

Is there still not a more permanent fix for this? I had my front LCA's replaced about 13-14 months ago, and I have the same issue again. Only now, my 36,000 B2B warranty has expired so I'll have to pay for this repair. Seems silly that the fix is to just replace it and wait for it to fail again...

I would say even if you are over the 36k warranty, If it is a documented issue you maybe able to fight for it, or get something to help the cost. I do know mine were replaced at around 13k miles in 2009 and have not had an issue with them. But I use the dealer for oil changes and they check them every time for me as part of what they do. And I have 52k miles now
