    I would not see how that could happen. The clamp on the filter would hold it. My only concern would be stress on the wire causing a short. Since this is an old thread it must be working out

    Mine was installed by shop after the MAF sensor. Any idea how much of a difference in temp this will make? A post above seemed to indicate 1 degree. Thoughts?

    Thoughts? The shop you went to has an idiot working there. HSRK install has been posted more times with different intakes than anything else on the board. My mom could install it.

    Installed mine last weekend.
    Went for a test drive. 61* outside

    Temp at idle 71*, normal driving went to 67- 69*.
    Floored it from a stop to 60, temp dropped to 62* before I let off the gas. Id say it works and am very happy.

    I have to agree with Ray on this one. Installing it after the MAF sensor is counter productive. The whole purpose of the HSRK to get the sensor as close as possible to the coolest inlet charge of air.
