Default (my) Atari Gauge & Glovebox light install

Finished the above last night. A big thanks to Seattle09GT, Bluejacket for their write ups and of course GTPprix / SAS for making the Atari available for my '09.

    My quick thoughts:

I pretty much followed the Seattle's and Bluejacket's info. If I did it again I would remove the entire radio, You won't have to remove the torx screws and only have two cables on the passenger side to remove to get it out. When reassembling it got in my way and I almost had to start over because the front of the radio dropped when removing the center trim and was jammed/stuck behind the trim.

To get the glue off I heated it up like recommended by Seattle then rubbed most left off with my thumb. Cleaned what was left with a little Goo Gone, this did not hurt the plastic.

Silver trim around our shifters pops off. I would pull this off to get under the larger piece containing the window controls. Pry from the side towards the rear of the car. Should be the easiest piece to remove, if not yours may be different than mine.

Overall went well but did take me 5+ hours taking my time ("only" three clips broken but no major scratches, That center counsel trim blows to get off). A pain in the arse but worth the price and time for both.

Got my auto dim mirror and Ataris in today. Looks fantastic. Many thanks to Chris, Bluejacket and Seattle09GT. Will post the numbers for volt, Oil PSI and Temp later but initial looks like 14.5 volts, about 186 oil temp and at 70mph oil ptressure is around 65+ psi.Was really a breeze to put them in, of course I did not do it.

Next mods are BMR and CAI at Charlies next week. Racemesh grills get here tomorrow. Next mods are the Step Courtsey Lights (Hopefully Crazy Paul will track these down) and Glove Box Light. The finale is the rebadge of car.

Thanks to everyone on the guidance and advice, it was worth it!

I just noticed I didn't mention anything about my glove box light install!

It was actually pretty easy. What I recall:

    1) Glove box needs to be removed
    2) There are screws under/behind the lower plastic panel which pulls down and behind the silver trim which just pulls straight off. There are also 2 hidden behind two plastic covers one on the left by the trunk button, one on the right. Carefully pry the covers off with a flat screw driver and you will uncover the screws.
    3) Current wire harness unclips fairly easy, you'll see it under the dash when you pull the panel down.
    4) Once the glove box is out just a matter of replacing the current wire loom with your new one and snapping in both the switch on the bottom and light on the top.
    5) Remove the elastic band which controls the open/close of the glove box to make it easier to install the switch. The hole the switch snaps into can be seen from the back and bottom when opening the glove box. (if I recall correctly it is towards the right side bottom)
    6) When snapping in the light the connectors will go to the left when facing the front of the box.

Sorry for the lack of pictures but once you start you will see it is pretty easy to swap out. If I was only doing this job I could have had it done within a 1/2 hour probably, taking my time. CAREFUL of the front of the glove box like the rest of the plastic in this car it scratches easily.

    Part #'s:

    092109218 - Lamp Assembly
    092172574 - Harness
    094580496 - Switch
?????????? - Bulb (not sure it was included but the # / type is on the boards if you search)

Price I paid with shipping $34.73 You can buy the parts from many sources, I'm sure Pace can set you up.

Let me know if there are any questions.. Pokey
